Vintage French Louis XVI Style Burl Walnut Tooled Leather Top Italian Writing Desk. Item features 5 drawers, tapered legs, brass ormolu, finished back, tooled leather top, working lock and key. Marked "Made in Italy" to underside of drawer. Circa Mid 20th Century. Measurements: 31.5" H x 55" W x 31.5" D x 24" Leg clearance.
Condition: Discoloration and sun fading to finish most notably on the rear and left side with noticeable differences (please see pics). Areas of wear to wood at corners under the drawer (see pics 14 and 15). Structurally sound with age appropriate signs of normal use as pictured. Overall very nice.
