Item: Large 16th Century Antique Dovetail Constructed Gothic Renaissance Chestnut Coffer Chest Trunk
Details: Hand carved detailing on the front panel, hand wrought iron hardware, a very thick and solid carved wood lid with beveled edges, attractive and desirable patina/weathering and wormholes to the wood from age, as well a hand forged keyhole cover adoring a cross and heart motif. This chest also comes with a custom made, removable, interior cedar chest which was added at a later date.
Age: Believed to be Circa 16th Century
Measurements: 26" H x 59" W x 24" D
Condition: Remarkable antique condition. Various old repairs and signs of age as to be expected. The chest does not lock and the hinged hardware looks to have been moved over at some point. Amazing antique item overall very nice. Please review all images as they are considered part of the item description.

Please note that we can hold items up to 2 months with no penalty. Items held any longer, without prior approval, will be charged storage fees of $25 per month.
